Very cute! I love the COMPLETE feeling to this... I like fanart, but so much is floating in white space (my own, included as I fail at backgrounds).
This completes the thought, sets the scene, and really looks like a wonderful illustration out of a novel or something.

A pessimist... fan of the pairing, and know it will never happen? Or not a fan... Just curious. (I don't actually have an opinion.)

I do like that the child is androgynous, it allows the viewer to use his/her imagination. Great expressions on all!

lol I used marker but I overlayed some texture onto in Photoshop. Was trying to make it look a bit worn but you can totally tell that it's fake

Ah, well, I am a fan of pairings that are so far from canon they will NEVER occur. What I am a fan of I am because I think it works well or would work well, regardless of whether or not it will actually happen. I think it still makes sense.
